This client requested a logo animation of some sort but didnt know exactly what they wanted. They gave me creative freedom on the project, so I came up with a multitude of different designs/variations of the logo animation to give them lots of ideas to choose from. This was by far the most difficult challenge I've had to overcome in my career as the client had lots of revisions for me to adhere to. We got to version 23 in the end.
This was some of my first work with 3D assets in a scene using Element 3D in Adobe After Effects. Since then, I have learned how to use Blender and if I was given the task now, I would be much more efficient and would be able to customize the animation, geometry and composition a lot more.
The most challenging part of this assignment was the live action raven which lands on the logo at the end. Again, this was a first attempt at using live action in a 2D animation, so i figured masking out the subject would be the best method which was VERY time consuming. Now, I have learned how to use the rotobrush tool in AE which would have definitely sped things up!
See below some of the variations I made for the client to choose from.
